Had fibre to the premises (FTTP) installed this morning - big upgrade in speed, both up and down, and my provider kept my static IP in place. Very happy.
Just need to see how quick it gets to over the next few days now.
Proudly ruining the web since 2013.

Filled up my wife's car with diesel just now. £107 for 56 litres!! It's usually around £65-70 to fill up.
By comparison, my EV costs around £12 to "fill up" with electricity. I think we need to consider getting my wife an EV too!
(Sorry, Americans, I can't be bothered converting to freedom units)

Seriously considering a switch from #GitHub to #Codeberg after reading the post below, but I'm not sure I have the energy for it.
Every time i walk up the stairs I see my poor little #Framework, sat there in pieces waiting for its new board. 😟

There's something about writing with a fountain pen that's just really nice. Even when it's a cheap Lamy - still far nicer than a ballpoint. Make me want to write.
Ah gutted. I bought a #Framework Ryzen 7 AI 350 series a few days ago for £699, only for them to now be discounted to £599. Great timing, Kev! 🤦🏼♂️️
Hello from my new #Thinkpad T480! migrating (shrinking) my drive from the 2TB in my #Framework to this 1TB was painful, but I now have my full #Ubuntu system back and no bloody MacOS to battle with. 🎉
Wife is out with friends, kids are playing in the park over the road, so I'm just sitting here, loving life and enjoying the sun with my furry friends.

Update on the #Framework - it's dead, Jim.
FW support have confirmed that the LED pattern I'm seeing are signalling a HW communication failure. So the board is shot.
Opened a claim with my insurance, so we'll see. In the meantime I'm seriously considering buying a T480. I can't bear this Mac.
Waldemar (who has also contributed a tonne to #PureBlog) has been maintaining a list of sites using my little blogging platform. I thought there were maybe 5 or so, but there's way more than that. ❤️
We recently had full fibre installed in our village. just placed an order to upgrade from ~70Mbps down and ~20 up to 900 down and 500 up. Very excited! 🤓
Urgh. Since dropping coffee all over my #Framework laptop, I'm back to using my M1 Mac. Jesus Christ MacOS is annoying, and Tahoe is fugly.

I take back pretty much everything I said in this post. I've bought a #SnowskyEcho just to see, loaded my old music on it, and it's pure joy! Discovering so much music that I haven't played for years.
And this is why the plugin ecosystem for #WordPress is simultaneously it's strongest power, and biggest security concern.

So we've had a land drain installed along with a concrete pad for the animals. While the concrete was wet, our old dog (13yo) snuck up there and decided to immortalise herself. Can't say I'm unhappy about it. What a wonderful little memory that will be in the future.

I have to wear glasses for reading, screens etc. (long-sighted with astigmatism). Anyway, I'm finding I'm wearing them for more and more things as it's just comfier. I may have to just admit defeat and wear them all the time...
I've had a week or so to bed in with the new design of my blog and I don't think I like it. I think I'm going to start working on a redesign/reversal again. 🤣
A few people have asked about titleless posts in #PureBlog, so here's a guide I wrote on how to do it:
Lots of people gushing over the new #Macbook #Neo. I get it, it looks like a cool laptop for a good price. However, the fact remains that it's Apple silicon, so it will be a paperweight after a few years.
I keep having problems with #Zoho Mail timing out when moving an email I'm sending to the sent items box. Is anyone else having this problem?
Tried in Thunderbird and Evolution, and the problem remains. So I think it's a Zoho issue.
