Author: RR Haywood
Genre: Thriller
Released: 02 October 2025
Rating:
Disgraced former detective Mike Humber is at rock bottom when he takes a night security job at a bleak fish processing plant and private dockyard on the Bristol Channel. He soon sees a way to make some quick cash — but only if he can navigate the small-town secrets, betrayal, and greed that threaten to pull him under. Taut, lean, and claustrophobic with twists that will leave you guessing until the final page.
Really enjoyed this book - engrossing from very early on and had me hooked. Great read that's full of Haywood's usual British humour.
