Proudly ruining the web since 2012.

My Projects

Here are some of the projects I work on in my spare time. I'll try to keep this up to date, but I'm always having silly ideas, so who knows? 🤷‍♂️

Pure Commons

Pure Commons is my attempt to build thoughtful tools for the small web. It's the umbrella under which I put all my other Pure web applications.

The Web is F**ked

The Web Is F**ked is an essay I wrote about my concerns with Web 2.0 and 3.0. It’s a lot of me reminiscing about how good the web was in the 90s/00s.

Personal Journal

I've built my own journal, which is very simple, but satisfies my needs. I've published it on GitHub in case it's and use to others. Here's more details about it.

Sunset projects

Over time there have been projects that I've started, and later sunset. Here's a list of those projects:

The 512KB Club

The 512KB Club is a collection of performance-focused web pages from across the Internet that are less than 512KB in size, uncompressed. I sunset this project in March 2026, but Brad took it over.

Fosstodon

Fosstodon is one of the biggest technology instances on the Fediverse. Fosstodon is a Mastodon instance that I co-founded with my good friend, Mike. As of April 2025, I've moved away from Fosstodon.
